Earth

Sometimes, when I look at this world, it looks so beautiful. It looks so big, so huge. On discovery channel, they keep showing our Earth from their satellites. It looks like a huge , really huge ball which is blue, white, green and brown. So beautiful! They slowly zoom into Earth and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger until they hit the ground. In the process, their camera passes through the clouds and shows the beautiful landscape with green fields stretching up till the horizon. The camera zooms in further to show the rivers, small ponds, rivulets all meeting the mighty sea. What a spectacular sight it is. Something, I know, I will never be able to see with my own eyes.

The satellite is much luckier to be up there and see the Earth flashing its beauty. It doesn't have to be with us on Earth. The one which is real! The one which is not as pleasant as it seems from up there. For example, Earth looks so huge from up there, but here, I see people fighting, bleeding, killing for space to live.

I see the Earth, all green, from up there, making me feel that it is covered with an endless green carpet of fur. Out here, at ground zero, its all, as we say here, "ulta". I have not seen grass that is spread for a distance of more than a maximum of half a football field with my own eyes. I have seen pretty pictures, heroes and heroines dancing and singing in the most beautiful parts of the world. Sometimes, I wonder, if such scenic spots actually exist. Even if they did, I certainly am very far from them. In fact, I have seen Earth punctured from all possible areas. Seen holes big enough to swallow a buffalo.

From up there, it gives me a sense of freedom, a sense of liberty; liberty to wonder anywhere one wants, to anywhere one wishes and up till infinity. Down here, it certainly isn't that way. I may have to travel miles to see things which are natural and beautiful. I live in fear of other people from various casts and religions because may be they think that I am a threat to them. Only God knows why or how? I ll , may be, be crucified if I hug my friend or even my girl friend on a particular day because someone feels that I am killing their culture or they just wanna show off or something!

The satellite sees half of the Earth covered with crystal clear blue "thing". "Thing" because I seriously fail to understand what it really is. People here say that its water. Frankly, I have never seen clear, blue water with my own eyes. Some say, it does exist. Hmmm, may be in Neverland. When I see water bodies here, I feel that people out here must be really "pissed off". If you get what I am trying to say here! Some water bodies look like sludge (no exaggeration)!

You see, the satellite there is quite lucky in a way. Its a property of Earth and its still in peace out there and to it, only the most beautiful view of the world is visible!
